Family Photography
That Feels Like Your Real Life
Not perfectly posed.
Not rushed.
Not about getting everyone to smile at the camera.
These sessions are built around connection, movement, personality, and the beautiful chaos that makes your family yours.
Whether we’re documenting slow newborn days at home, a summer evening in the field, or the way your children reach for your hand without thinking — my goal is always the same:
To preserve this season honestly and beautifully before it changes again.
The Process
1. Reserve Your Session
A non-refundable creative fee of $400 reserves your date on my calendar.
This includes:
Location planning
Session time (typically around 60 mins)
Editing and artistic retouching
Your gallery reveal and ordering experience
Collections and artwork are purchased separately after viewing your final gallery.
2. Your Session
Sessions are designed to feel easy and connected rather than overly posed or performative.
I’ll gently guide your family while documenting the natural interactions, movement, and emotion that unfold throughout our time together.
3. Choose Your Collection
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll choose the collection that best fits your family.
Most clients invest in a combination of digital images and heirloom artwork so their photographs can be enjoyed both now and for years to come.
What a Session With Me
Feels Like
There’s very little stiff posing and a lot of space for your family to simply be together.
Your kids do not need to behave perfectly.
You do not need to stress about getting “the perfect photo.”
Some of the most meaningful images happen in-between:
the laughter after the chaos
the way your child leans into you
the look your partner gives your kids when they aren’t paying attention
I’ll guide you the entire time while still leaving room for genuine moments to unfold naturally.
You value emotion over perfection
You want photographs that actually feel like your family
You love candid connection and natural movement
You want your children documented as they truly are in this season
You’ve been meaning to print your photos instead of letting them live on your phone
You care deeply about preserving your family history

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Honestly, you do not need perfectly behaved kids to get beautiful photos. I fully expect little ones to run, explore, snack, cuddle, need breaks, or take time to warm up — that’s all completely normal and part of photographing families.
-
We’ll make this part easy. After booking, you’ll receive my styling guide filled with color palettes, tips for coordinating without matching, Pinterest inspiration, and even direct shopping links to pieces I know photograph beautifully. I’m also happy to help review outfits or narrow down options before your session.
-
I recommend booking as early as you can — especially for fall weekends and seasonal sessions, which tend to fill quickly. Most families book anywhere from a few weeks to a few months in advance depending on the time of year. If you already know you’d love photos for a specific season, milestone, or holiday card deadline, it’s best to reach out early so we can reserve a date that works well for your family.
-
Yes — absolutely. Your session includes a set number of digital images, but you’ll have the option to purchase additional images, and professional-quality prints or artwork directly through your gallery after delivery. There’s no pressure to decide right away — many families come back later for albums, framed prints, or gifts once they’ve had time to live with the images a bit.
-
Yes — grandparents and pets are always welcome, but I do recommend mentioning anyone extra when booking so we can choose the best location, timing, and session flow for your group. Some sessions may work better with a little extra planning depending on the size and dynamic of the group.
-
Sessions can take place in your home or at an outdoor location. I’m happy to recommend beautiful spots with great light, open space for kids to explore, and a relaxed feel — or we can choose a location that already feels meaningful to your family. The goal is always to create a setting that feels natural, comfortable, and true to you.
-
Your gallery will be delivered within 4 weeks of your session date. I take time carefully editing each gallery by hand so your images feel polished, cohesive, and true to your family.
-
A session fee is paid at booking, with image collections and artwork purchased separately after your gallery is delivered.
These Years Deserve to Be Remembered
The tiny hand in yours.
The missing teeth.
The way your child still reaches to be held.
So much changes quietly and all at once.
My hope is that years from now, these photographs won’t just remind you what your family looked like — they’ll remind you exactly what it felt like to love them in this season.
